• Improves water and nutrient retention in garden soils, especially sandy soils
• Improves aeration and soil loft in garden soils, especially clay-rich soils
• If applied heavily, can slightly lower pH of soil.
• For general amendment, add one to two 2 cu. ft. bags per 100 square ft. of garden.
