Balloon Flower 6″ Pot, Florist Blue

Beautiful and hardy, balloon flower is a medicinal (roots only) perennial native to east Asia, although it is most often grown as an ornamental.  Afternoon sun helps soften the heat of our summers.  Flowers mid summer through fall.  Deer Resistant.  Can tolerate some drought.  Roots are edible, but leaves and flowers are not.  Easy to grow!

• Light: sun/part shade.
• Deadhead/harvest blooms often.  To pick for bouquets, sear the cut stem end with a lighter or boiling water for a few seconds after harvesting.
